PM Shehbaz Sharif Delighted as Inflation Drops to Single Digits
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the government’s economic team for their efforts in reducing inflation to 9.6 percent in the country, marking a significant achievement. The recent report by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics revealed a year-on-year decrease in inflation, with August 2024 recording a headline inflation rate of 9.6 percent, a significant drop from the previous years. The finance ministry expects this trend to continue within the range of 9.5-10.5 percent.
