The Iranian Army Enhances Combat Capabilities with Optimized Main Battle Tanks

The Iranian Army recently celebrated the delivery of optimized M60 main battle tanks, equipped with advanced technology to enhance their combat features. Commanded by Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari, the Army’s Ground Force welcomed the new tanks during a ceremony, showcasing improvements in armored protection, maneuverability, optical sights, cannons, and engines.

Heydari praised the Martyr Zarharan Production, Optimization, and Renovation Center for its role in enhancing the tanks, as well as other contributions to the force’s artillery systems and armored personnel carriers. Following directives from Ayatollah Khamenei, the Ground Force has transformed into a highly mobile and rapid reaction force, ready to defend the country.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force announced significant improvements in combat capability, with a focus on domestic self-sufficiency despite international sanctions. Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard emphasized the readiness to respond decisively to any potential threats from enemies.

Despite external pressures, Iran continues to strengthen its military capabilities for defensive purposes, underlining its commitment to national security and sovereignty.
