Exploring Iran, Security, and Intelligence: A New Program at Navon High School

The Iran Studies program at Navon High School in Holon is set to launch this school year, delving into topics such as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s policies, and the demographic relationship between Muslim Shiites and Sunnis.

Fifteen students accepted into the program will not only study Persian language and Iranian culture but also gain a deep understanding of Israeli security and intelligence topics, including intelligence gathering and counterterrorism.

Shin Bet and Mossad in the Classroom

Principal Etty Avoda Kazula, along with program coordinator Shai Shoshani, has recruited former security experts from Shin Bet, Mossad, and Unit 8200 to serve as instructors. The program aims to equip students with a comprehensive set of tools and skills.

Who Can Join the Program?

The program is designed for outstanding students with strong analytical skills, English proficiency, and a keen interest in security and intelligence. The curriculum will involve information and data analysis, intelligence gathering, and Persian language learning.
