Gold Star Families back Trump in show of support

Donald Trump shared statements from families soldiers who died during the chaotic evacuation from Kabul, amid criticism over his visit to Arlington National Cemetery. Allegations surfaced of a Trump campaign member being involved in a physical altercation with a cemetery official during filming in a restricted area, denied by the campaign despite confirmation from officials.

On his Truth Social page, Trump called the statement a “MUST READ AND WATCH,” also thanking families on X for allowing him to attend the Celebration at Arlington, blaming Harris and Biden for the soldiers’ deaths. Campaign adviser Chris LaCivita posted video messages from families, saying “Enough said….”

Seven families with Trump hit back at Kamala Harris for criticizing his visit, claiming Harris lacked “empathy and understanding” and politicized the event. They invited Trump to honor their children’s sacrifice and accused Harris of disrespecting sacred ground.

Mark Schmitz, father of Marine Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz, explained they wanted Trump as a leader, not for political gain, emphasizing the lack of communication from Harris and Biden.
