Morocco’s Minister Nasser Bourita Represents King Mohammed VI at Second Indonesia-Africa Forum

Representing King Mohammed VI, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita attended the second Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) in Bali on September 2nd and 3rd. The forum, held under the theme “The Spirit of the Bandung Conference for Africa’s Agenda 2063,” was inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo and saw the participation of various heads of state and African ministers.

The main objective of the forum is to strengthen economic cooperation between Indonesia and Africa, recognizing the continent as a crucial economic partner for Indonesia. This initiative follows the success of the first IAF in 2018 and aims to build a sustainable and inclusive relationship between the two regions.

The origin of the forum can be traced back to the historic Asia-Africa Conference held in Bandung in 1955. This conference laid the foundation for the Bandung Spirit, promoting principles such as national sovereignty, equality among nations, and international cooperation without external interference.
