A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jesutega Onokpasa, appeals to President Bola Tinubu to stop the persecution of former governors Nasir el-Rufai and Yahaya Bello, stating it could deter support for the president in the future.
Onokpasa, a Tinubu loyalist, suggests that the anti-graft activities against the ex-governors are driven by selfish motives, raising doubts about APC’s treatment of loyalists.
He urges Tinubu to forgive the former governors and questions the grounds for their alleged misconduct, emphasizing the need for fairness.
Expressing disappointment in the situation, Onokpasa stresses the loyalty and past contributions of el-Rufai and Bello, advocating for a just resolution.
