Ahsan, Asif Oppose Dialogue with PTI; Rana Sana Says Meeting with Achakzai Had Nothing to Do with PTI
Lahore: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has proposed an all-encompassing dialogue involving all political parties, including PTI, and state institutions to tackle Pakistan’s crises. This proposal comes amidst efforts by the coalition government to win back former ally Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
In a meeting at the Model Town headquarters, PML-N discussed various issues, including power relief, local government reforms, and strategies to address PTI’s opposition post-May 9 riots.
While President Zardari and PM Shehbaz try to mend ties with Fazlur Rehman, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah clarified that his recent meeting with Achakzai was unrelated to PTI. Ahsan Iqbal and Khawaja Asif oppose talks with PTI due to recent violent events.
PTI’s Asad Qaiser questions the government’s uncertainty about negotiations and emphasizes the need for a serious approach. The future of dialogue between PML-N and PTI remains uncertain, with conflicting statements from both sides.
