Jenin municipality reports Israel destroyed majority of town’s infrastructure

Israeli forces have wreaked havoc on the streets and infrastructure of Jenin in the northern West Bank, with more than half of the city’s essential infrastructure destroyed during their offensive. The local municipality reports that over 70% of the city’s streets have been demolished, causing severe living conditions for residents.

The destruction of roads has led to the collapse of water and sewage networks, as well as communication and electricity outages in many areas. With water supplies cut off to 80% of Jenin and the refugee camp, residents are facing a major crisis. The Jenin Government Hospital has suspended dialysis services due to prolonged power outages caused by Israeli actions.

Israeli forces have also damaged the hospital’s water supply, blocking essential water tankers from reaching the medical center. The recent military offensive in Jenin and other cities in the West Bank has resulted in the deaths of 22 Palestinians, adding to the toll of casualties in the ongoing conflict.

Since the war on Gaza began, casualties have been rising in the West Bank, with hundreds killed and thousands injured by Israeli forces. The situation remains dire as violence continues to escalate in the region.
