Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to seek revenge on Hamas after the bodies of six hostages were found in an underground tunnel in the Rafah area. Netanyahu stated that those responsible for the killings do not want peace, sending a warning to Hamas leaders that they will be pursued and held accountable.
He stressed the government’s commitment to securing the release of remaining captives and ensuring national security. The six victims were part of a group of 250 hostages taken by Hamas during a violent incident in southern Israel, triggering the Gaza conflict.
Israeli military reports indicate that the hostages were killed shortly before being discovered by troops. The individuals have been identified as Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Master Sgt Ori Danino. Their bodies have been repatriated to Israel.
