According to Jenin municipality, the Israeli army has demolished streets and water/sewage networks, leaving the refugee camp without water access. At least 24 Palestinians have been killed in the assault. The destruction and raids in Jenin have been on a massive scale, similar to the devastation in 2002.
Israel has been accused of committing war crimes by damaging public utilities, looting homes, and subjecting residents to harsh treatment. MSF emphasized the need for Israel to respect its obligations in the occupied West Bank. The former head of Human Rights Watch described the situation as a flat-out war and condemned Israel for cutting off access to humanitarian aid.
