The recent attack on the Faudiya Islamic school in Geidam, Yobe State, where suspected Boko Haram members killed three students and injured one, has left the community in shock and grief. Mallam Saleh Ali, a parent of one of the victims, described the incident as barbaric and heartless.
The gunmen, armed with AK-47 rifles, stormed the school in the early hours of Friday, targeting students as they slept. The parents, alongside the school’s headmaster, Mallam Kolo Mohammed, are demanding justice and increased security measures from the authorities.
As the community mourns the loss of young lives, leaders like Zannah Nur, the District Head of Barko, are calling on the government to take decisive action to prevent further senseless killings. The Yobe State Police Command is investigating the incident and has identified the victims as Muhammadu Saleh, Ahmed Abdulrahaman, and Abdullahi Adamu.
