Croatia Supports Ukraine in Humanitarian Demining Efforts
Croatia recently handed over the DOK-ING MV-4 robotic mine clearance system to Ukraine during the GLOBSEC Forum in Prague. Vice Prime Minister Ivan Anusic emphasized the importance of international support in demining Ukraine, as 26% of the territory is mine-contaminated. He assured Ukraine that Croatia will stand by them until the task is completed.
Croatia has been working with Ukraine on humanitarian demining efforts, raising funds for the cause in a donor conference held in Zagreb in 2023. The Croatian company DOK-ING, with 30 years of experience in demining, has already provided 42 robotic demining systems to help clear millions of square meters of territory in Ukraine.
Deputy Ministers from Ukraine received the symbolic keys to the system, highlighting the collaboration between the two countries. With the support of Croatia and other international partners, Ukraine is making progress in clearing mines and unexploded ordnance, paving the way for reconstruction and economic development.
