한동훈·이재명, ‘채 상병 특검법’ 회담 불발

In a recent meeting, leaders of major South Korean political parties, including Han Dong-hoon from the People Power Party and Lee Jae-myung from the Democratic Party, agreed to establish a committee to promote common policies for the public welfare, among other goals. However, they did not reach a significant agreement on key issues like the special prosecutor law.

Despite some areas of disagreement, the leaders agreed to address urgent matters such as creating an emergency medical system during holidays and combating deepfake crimes. They also pledged to support the semiconductor and AI industries, reduce household and small business debts, and extend parental leave for dual-income families.

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration and compromise to address the country’s pressing issues. While the leaders did not resolve all their differences, the meeting sets a positive tone for future discussions and cooperation on important legislative initiatives.

Overall, the meeting between the party leaders showed a willingness to work together for the common good and find solutions to complex problems facing South Korea.
