Turkey criticizes Israel for broadening Gaza conflict to West Bank

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Condemns Israel’s Expansion of War on Gaza

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan criticized Israel for extending the war on Gaza to the West Bank, Lebanon, and other nations, calling it genocide. Fidan urged the international community to stop Israeli crimes against Palestinians, accusing Israel of systematically starving Gazans and bombing civilian infrastructure.

Fidan also denounced Israel’s allies for their unconditional support, while media reports revealed the U.S. sent arms to Israel during the conflict. He called for an end to Israel’s atrocities, emphasizing the need for a just and permanent solution in Palestine.

The recent surge of violence in Gaza and the West Bank has resulted in over 40,600 Palestinian deaths, with thousands still missing. The Israeli army’s recent operation in West Bank towns led to the death of at least 20 Palestinians, sparking further condemnation from the international community.

As tensions escalate, Fidan commended countries like Slovenia for recognizing Palestine and emphasized the importance of upholding international law for a peaceful resolution in the region.
