Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia has called out Azerbaijan for trying to deflect attention from their own rearmament efforts by accusing Armenia of the same. Pashinyan pointed out the hypocrisy in Azerbaijan purchasing weapons from various countries while criticizing Armenia for doing the same. He emphasized that Armenia has the right to strengthen its military for self-defense, especially considering the constant threats it faces.
Pashinyan also proposed the development of mutual arms control mechanisms to address any concerns Azerbaijan may have. He stressed the importance of every country’s right to self-defense and highlighted the ongoing reforms in the Armenian military aimed at improving the country’s defense capabilities.
Despite the accusations and challenges Armenia faces, Pashinyan remains committed to upholding international law and ensuring the safety and security of the Armenian people.
