The Palestinian Civil Defense reported that the destruction has severely impacted areas claimed by Tel Aviv to be “humanitarian zones.” Mohammad Al-Mughir, the agency’s director, highlighted the widespread devastation of facilities, residential buildings, and roads following the Israeli army’s withdrawal, leaving behind extensive damage and bodies.
As Civil Defense teams search for missing persons amid the rubble, the Gaza Strip continues to suffer from a genocidal offensive even after a UN Security Council resolution called for an immediate cease-fire. The ongoing blockade has resulted in over 40,600 Palestinian deaths, with the majority being women and children, and over 93,800 injuries. The destruction of vital water reservoirs is not only a crime against humanity but also a war crime.
