Iran has made history by appointing its first female government spokesperson, Fatemeh Mohajerani, following the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers and the suggestion of President Masoud Pezeshkian. With this significant appointment, Mohajerani breaks barriers as she takes on the role previously held by Ali Bahadori Jahromi.
Born in Arak, Markazi Province in 1970, Fatemeh Mohajerani has a strong background in education and leadership. She previously served as the head of the Technical and Vocational Training University of Shariati and was elected as the head of the Center for Brilliant Talents in 2017.
This milestone marks a step forward in Iran’s efforts towards gender equality and women’s empowerment in leadership roles. Mohajerani’s appointment showcases the country’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity in government positions, setting a positive example for future generations.
