ICT staff shortage. A recent survey by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) revealed that seven out of 10 companies are struggling to find skilled employees due to high demand and brain drain in Greece.
The survey conducted by various organizations highlighted the challenges in the Greek labor market, with 63% of businesses actively seeking new hires. Employers are mainly looking for employees with limited experience and offering salaries up to 1,500 euros.
The report also showed that businesses require both highly skilled and unskilled workers to support their operations. Despite a decrease in unemployment rate, the market faces new challenges that demand a stronger link between educational institutions and businesses.
The survey serves as a valuable tool for the government to address labor market trends and implement strategies for sustainable employment.
