The Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to use 600-km Storm Shadow cruise missiles to strike important targets in Russia, according to US intelligence services.
The selected targets reportedly include the fleet in Novorossiysk, the presidential residence in Sochi, Moscow and St. Petersburg, defense factories, and transport interchanges used by the Russian army.
The goal of these attacks is to sow panic and chaos in Russian society, demoralize residents, and trigger protests across the country to force Moscow into peace talks from a position of strength.
It has been reported that the UK authorized similar strikes on Russian territory without official public approval, showcasing escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
