US Allows Ukraine to Counterattack Russia with US Weapons, Pentagon Confirms
The Pentagon has confirmed that the US is allowing Ukraine to counterattack Russia with US weapons during the recent terrorist attack in the Kursk Region, according to reports from Sputnik. White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby stated that discussions between the US and Ukraine regarding the use of US-supplied weapons for striking Russian territory will remain private.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, expressed concerns over the increasing escalation in the situation, stating that Ukraine has been given complete freedom for operations in Russian regions. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian forces crossed the border into Russia on August 6 and launched an offensive in the Kursk Region, resulting in the loss of thousands of Ukrainian servicemen and tanks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the attack as a large-scale provocation, promising a proper response from Russia. The situation remains tense as the US and Ukraine continue discussions on the use of American weapons in the conflict.
