Russia’s military forces have reportedly captured two more settlements in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions, making significant advancements in the ongoing conflict in the country’s east. According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, the villages of Mykolaivka and Stelmakhivka were seized, strategically located southeast of key cities where intense clashes between Russian and Ukrainian troops continue.
The capture of Mykolaivka, near the city of Pokrovsk, and Stelmakhivka, near Kupiansk, marks a significant progress for Russian forces in the region. The ministry also reported further advancements in both areas, signaling Moscow’s continued push into Ukrainian territory.
As of now, Ukrainian authorities have not responded to Russia’s claims, and verification of the situation on the ground remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict. The situation in eastern Ukraine remains volatile as Russia’s military operations continue to escalate.
