Outlawed TTP releases videos of kidnapped men, including senior army officer
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has released videos of three men, including a senior army officer, who were kidnapped from D.I. Khan. The men were taken from a mosque in Mohalla Khadr Khel of Kalachi tehsil while receiving condolences for their father’s death.
In the videos, two of the abducted men stated they were “far away” from government-controlled areas and urged authorities to meet the Taliban’s demands for their release. The men, surrounded by gunmen, asked their relatives not to share news of the kidnapping on social media.
While there has been no official statement from the ISPR, reports suggest additional people were kidnapped alongside the three brothers. However, this information remains unverified.
It is a distressing situation that calls for swift action to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped individuals.
