Irish shine on Day 2 of Paralympics

As the Paralympic Games in Paris continue, Irish athletes are set to compete in swimming, cycling, archery, rowing, and athletics events. Kerrie Leonard will kick off the day in the women’s W2 individual compound archery event, followed by Katie O’Brien and Tiarnán O’Donnell in the PR2 mixed doubles sculls Para rowing heat.

Meanwhile, track athlete Shauna Bocquet will represent Ireland in the T54 5000m heat. Swimmers Róisín Ní Riain and Ellen Keane will also be in action, with Ní Riain competing in the S13 100m backstroke final and Keane navigating through heats in the SB8 100m breaststroke.

Ronan Grimes, Katie George, and Josephine Healion will hope to qualify in cycling events, with Grimes racing in the C4-5 1000m time trial and George and Healion in the women’s b 1000m time trial.
