Recent reports from the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar have revealed that six Hezbollah drones successfully targeted the Israeli Military Intelligence headquarters in Glilot near Tel Aviv. The drones were strategically programmed to hit their marks within the Israeli complex, leading to the area being cordoned off by Israeli occupation forces.
These attacks were part of Hezbollah’s retaliation known as Operation Arbaeen Day, which included launching rockets and drones at various targets across occupied Palestine. This was in response to the assassination of senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shokr by Israeli forces on July 30.
As tensions escalate, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office has signaled the intention to expand war objectives on the northern front, particularly in Lebanon. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized the need to return Israelis to their homes in the north, prompting discussions among government officials on new strategies to address the Hezbollah threat.
With the situation on the Lebanon front becoming increasingly volatile, the upcoming month of September is expected to be pivotal in determining the course of action against Hezbollah.
