China reiterated its commitment to promoting peace talks and a political settlement in Ukraine during discussions with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. Yang Tao, Director General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized China’s stance on Ukraine as promoting peace without seeking gains or fueling conflict. China maintains an independent foreign policy of peace and does not engage in alliance or bloc confrontation.
Yang called on the US to stop spreading false narratives about China supporting Russia’s defense industry and to refrain from smearing or scapegoating China. Chinese President Xi Jinping also emphasized stable relations with the US based on mutual respect and peaceful coexistence during a meeting with Sullivan in Beijing.
China’s commitment to peace in Ukraine and its call for an end to misinformation from the US underscores its dedication to global stability and diplomacy. As China continues its efforts in promoting peace talks, it sets a positive example for international relations based on cooperation and dialogue.
