조국, 검찰규탄 집회 자제 요청하는 전주지검 출석

Former Justice Minister Cho Kuk, now the leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, has urged supporters planning to hold a rally ahead of his questioning by the Jeonju District Prosecutors’ Office to refrain from doing so. Cho posted on Facebook, thanking his supporters for their intention to rally but asking them to refrain. He emphasized his intention to quietly undergo questioning and return to party activities afterwards.

According to the Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency, around 150 party members and supporters of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party submitted a rally notification in front of the Jeonju District Prosecutors’ Office to protest what they view as political retaliation by the prosecution.

The prosecution is questioning Cho as a witness in connection with an investigation into alleged preferential treatment in hiring at a public institution involving a former aide to President Moon Jae-in. Cho has maintained that he was not involved in or aware of the hiring process related to the aide.

As Cho prepares to undergo questioning, tensions are high as supporters plan to demonstrate against what they perceive as unfair treatment. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
