Russian airstrikes continue to devastate Ukraine for second day

Russia launched a devastating wave of attack drones and missiles at Ukraine, resulting in at least four fatalities, following a night of intense strikes across the war-torn country. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the casualties and vowed a response to the attacks, stating that crimes against humanity cannot go unpunished.

The assault, which involved 81 Iranian-designed drones and numerous missiles, targeted various regions in Ukraine, resulting in downed missiles and drones but still claiming lives. The attacks have caused widespread damage to energy infrastructure, triggering blackouts and emergency repairs.

Amid the chaos, Ukrainian forces have pressed an offensive in Russia’s border region of Kursk, gaining territory in a surprise operation. Despite these gains, Russia continues to advance, capturing strategic locations like the village of Orlivka near Pokrovsk.

As the conflict escalates, civilians are fleeing the affected areas, highlighting the urgent need for assistance and intervention from Ukraine’s allies. With tensions mounting and casualties rising, the world watches closely as the battle between Russia and Ukraine intensifies.
