Police in Brisbane are on the hunt for a man who attacked a baby by pouring hot coffee on him in a park. They have shared new information about his movements after the incident.
The assault occurred at Hanlon Park in Stones Corner while a mother and her child were enjoying a picnic. The man approached them, poured the hot liquid on the baby, and fled the scene.
After the attack, the man changed clothes near a church, took a rideshare to Brisbane’s center, and then moved to Caxton Street. Authorities are investigating these areas.
The baby, who was just beginning to walk before the incident, is recovering in the hospital. His parents are hopeful for his full recovery despite the need for additional surgeries.
The mother wants to thank the off-duty nurse who assisted them at the park and is appealing for more information as the investigation continues.
