From a young age, Abu Shujaa was involved in resistance activities against the Israeli occupation, leading to his first arrest at 17.

Mohammed Jaber Abu Shujaa, commander of the Tulkarm Battalion, was killed alongside four other members during a military operation. He was a key figure in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement. Born in 1998 in a refugee camp, Abu Shujaa was involved in resistance from a young age, facing arrests and time in prison.

Tulkarm Battalion

Co-founding the Tulkarm Battalion, Abu Shujaa led its growth and integration with other factions. The battalion operated across the West Bank, focusing on combat techniques and resisting incursions.

Targeting and Persecution

Abu Shujaa faced multiple assassination attempts and arrests, with his family also targeted. Despite false reports of his death, he continued to lead and resist until his last message of solidarity.
