Irish chef identified as victim in Kansas City shooting

Tragedy struck in Kansas City as Irish national Shaun Brady was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting. Originally hailing from Co Tipperary, Mr. Brady had made a home in the United States for several years.

Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 63rd and Rockhill area, where they found Mr. Brady suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

An investigation is underway, with initial findings suggesting that Mr. Brady was shot during an interaction with multiple individuals while taking out the rubbish. Witnesses are being interviewed and surveillance footage is being reviewed.

Known locally as a talented chef and a prominent member of the Irish community, Mr. Brady co-owned Brady & Fox Restaurant & Lounge. He was actively involved in promoting Irish culture through food demonstrations at events like Irish Fest.

Mr. Brady leaves behind his wife, Kate, and his sudden passing has sparked an outpouring of tributes on social media, with many describing him as an “awesome man” who will be dearly missed.
