Israeli airstrike targets Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah in Syria – Israel News

An Israeli drone strike near the Syrian-Lebanese border resulted in the deaths of three members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and one member of Hezbollah. The car targeted in the strike was not transporting weapons, according to sources. There has been no official comment from Hezbollah or the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The strike came shortly after an Israeli airstrike hit a pickup truck in northeast Lebanon carrying military equipment. Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and other armed factions with ties to Iran and Syria have been launching attacks on Israel from southern Lebanon.

Israel has not officially commented on the incident, which comes in the context of heightened tensions in the region following recent attacks by Hamas on Israel.

Israel has a history of targeting weapons shipments and military infrastructure in Syria, and has increased its strikes in the region in response to escalating attacks. The situation remains volatile as the conflict between Israel and various militant groups continues.
