Kirby confirmed the US force in the region will stay to defend Israel and US troops.

Kirby highlighted the enhanced force presence in the region due to potential threats from Iran, especially following recent events involving Hamas.
Kirby stressed the importance of avoiding escalation while maintaining preparedness to protect Israel. He expressed hope for a ceasefire in Gaza, underlining the need for compromise and leadership from both sides.
Iran’s Response
Iran reiterated its intention to respond to provocations but emphasized the right to retaliate. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed the legitimacy of self-defense against aggression, rejecting external pressure to withhold retaliation.
