Enhancing Energy Cooperation: Syria-Russia Relations Deepen
In a recent meeting in Moscow, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Firas Qaddour, highlighted the significant collaboration between Syria and the Russian Federation, particularly in the energy sector. Minister Qaddour expressed gratitude towards Russia for its support and noted the unprecedented level of cooperation between the two countries, aligned with the directives of Presidents Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin.
Emphasizing efforts to reconstruct infrastructure damaged by terrorist organizations, Minister Qaddour outlined the Ministry’s initiatives in extracting, transporting, and refining petroleum products in Syria. In response, Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev reaffirmed the commitment to implementing existing agreements and utilizing modern technologies and Russian expertise in the oil and gas sector in collaboration with Syria.
Tsivilev underlined Moscow’s resolve to enhance cooperation with Damascus, signaling a promising future for energy collaboration between the two nations. The strengthening ties in the energy sector signify a deeper strategic partnership, paving the way for mutual benefits and shared progress.
