Israel has received its 500th US military aircraft amid the ongoing war in Gaza, with over 50,000 tons of military equipment delivered. The US has provided diplomatic, intelligence, and military support to Israel throughout the conflict, despite calls from human rights groups to halt arms transfers.
The US State Department recently notified Congress of its plan to provide $3.5 billion in military aid to Israel. Despite international condemnation, Israel has continued its offensive, resulting in over 40,000 Palestinian casualties. The war has led to widespread displacement and a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with many civilians, especially women and children, bearing the brunt of the violence.
As the conflict rages on, calls for an arms embargo on Israel and targeted sanctions to hold accountable those responsible for violations of international law and human rights continue to grow.
