한동훈 “의대증원 유예 퇴짜 맞아…국민 걱정 대안 필요”

In a recent development, Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, proposed a delay in increasing medical school admissions in 2026 to address concerns of the public. This proposal was rejected by the presidential office, leading to Han expressing dissatisfaction indirectly. Despite this setback, Han emphasized the need for alternative solutions that maintain the essence and momentum of desired medical reforms while addressing current worries.

Han’s remarks came after a meeting with market officials on financial investment income tax abolition. Although he refrained from providing detailed explanations of the discussions with the government, he confirmed presenting the proposal to the presidential office through Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and Health Minister Cho Kye-hong. Furthermore, Han clarified his stance on the “3rd party recommendation special prosecutor law” by asserting there has been no change in his position despite criticisms from the Democratic Party.

As the issue continues to unfold, Han remains steadfast in his efforts to communicate and negotiate with the government and the presidential office on critical matters.
