Former President Donald Trump has hinted at the possibility of skipping the Sept. 10 presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris hosted by ABC News. In a post on Truth Social, Trump cited reasons such as Harris turning down debates on other networks and criticism of ABC News anchors. He questioned why he should debate on a network he perceives as biased. Despite the potential conflict, the debate is still scheduled to take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis.
Trump had initially proposed three debates with Harris, but Harris only agreed to the Sept. 10 debate, suggesting another in October. In response to Harris declining a Fox News debate, Trump plans to hold an event on Sept. 4 with host Sean Hannity. The situation remains tense as both campaigns and ABC News have yet to comment on Trump’s remarks.
