NEWS
A controversial podcaster and conservative social media activist, Roman Cabanac, has been appointed as the chief of staff in the office of the minister of agriculture, John Steenhuisen.
The appointment of Cabanac follows the recent controversy surrounding the appointment of another controversial YouTuber and podcaster, Renaldo Gouws, as a Member of Parliament by the DA.
Cabanac, known for founding the podcast Morning Shot, has expressed his contentment with the new position despite criticism from some quarters.
He brings experience from the private and non-profit sectors to this role, emphasizing his commitment to work in the department of agriculture.
Cabanac, who has been involved in previous controversies, vows to focus on his responsibilities in his new role.
Steenhuisen, the minister of agriculture, did not provide any comments regarding Cabanac’s appointment.
