PML-N and PPP Meeting remains inconclusive as both sides agree to hold more talks
With a renewed effort to address their differences, the PML-N and PPP met at the Punjab Governor House on Sunday. The meeting, which was the fifth sitting of the coordination committees of both parties, ended without a final resolution. Both sides agreed to hold another meeting later this week to further discuss governance issues in Punjab.
During the meeting, the PML-N committee, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and others, and the PPP delegation, consisting of Senate chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani and others, discussed topics such as law and order, funds for electricity subsidies, and unemployment. Despite differing opinions on certain issues, both parties acknowledged that the gulf between them was not wide enough to cause a separation.
The coordination committees plan to meet twice a month moving forward to enhance communication and resolve differences. Despite criticisms from some quarters, both parties remain committed to finding common ground for the betterment of Punjab.
