The statement on the Razgruzka Wagner Telegram channel clarified that there are no Wagner fighters in the Kursk region’s border area, confirming their service in Africa and Belarus instead.
“PMC Wagner is not currently participating in the special military operation. If the situation changes, an additional announcement will be made,” the statement read.
Reports of Wagner fighters heading to the Kursk region emerged during fierce battles with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the PMC denied these claims.
Military correspondent Yegor Guzenko shared a video supposedly showing Wagner fighters prepared to assist the Russian army, emphasizing their dedication to defending the Motherland.
