Iraqi resistance groups to resume attacks on US forces

Iraqi anti-terror groups refuse to compromise with US troops, resume attacks

Reports from al-Akhbar newspaper reveal that Iraqi resistance groups have decided to unify and resume military operations against US occupation troops in Iraq. After a meeting, leaders agreed to end the pause in attacks and plan large-scale strikes against American forces and Israeli targets. The Baghdad government’s agreements with the US have not provided reassurance to the resistance, leading to a strong determination to continue fighting as long as foreign forces support attacks on Iraqi groups.

The Axis of Resistance, including Iraqi fighters, plans to intensify military actions in response to ongoing conflicts, with a focus on removing foreign forces that remain in Iraq since the US-led invasion in 2003. Despite claims of fighting Daesh, the presence of American troops has not contributed significantly to regional stability.

In 2020, the Iraqi parliament voted for the expulsion of foreign forces following the assassination of Iranian and Iraqi military leaders. The resistance remains steadfast in its goal to end external intervention and uphold Iraqi sovereignty.
