The first case of polio in Gaza was confirmed recently, prompting the urgent need for medical assistance. The World Health Organization reported additional cases of suspected polio in the region.
HRW urged Israel’s allies to intervene and lift the blockade on Gaza to allow immediate humanitarian aid access, including crucial vaccinations. Failure to act promptly could lead to a devastating health crisis.
