Hezbollah attacks resume as fires spread in northern Israel.

Bushfire Breaks Out Near Ayelet Hashahar Following Hezbollah Attack

Sirens warning of an incoming hostile aircraft were activated in several communities across northern Israel Monday evening, marking Hezbollah’s first attack on Israeli territory since launching over 300 projectiles Sunday morning as part of the terrorist group’s retaliation for the assassination of its top general.

Warning alerts were issued for various locations in the Upper Galilee, including Ayelet Hashahar, where a bushfire broke out following rocket strikes that caused no injuries or damage. The Upper Galilee Regional Council reported three rocket crash sites near the area.

Hezbollah-affiliated newspaper Al Akhbar reported artillery fire in southern Lebanon following the rocket attacks, while the IDF conducted strikes in Arnoun. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office clarified the extension of evacuation allowances until September 30, with funding secured for possible further extensions until the end of 2024.

Residents in northern and southern Israel evacuated due to security concerns have the option to extend their hotel stays, subject to security recommendations.
