The 22nd Regular National Assembly is set to take place for 100 days from October 1st. Representatives from both the ruling Democratic Party and the opposition People Power Party confirmed the schedule, which includes an opening ceremony on the 2nd followed by speeches from party leaders. The session will also feature government questioning and a national audit from October 7th to 25th.
The opening ceremony will not be the same as the inaugural ceremony that marked the beginning of the 22nd National Assembly due to delays caused by internal disputes. Despite initial plans for an opening ceremony on September 5th, disagreements over legislation led to the ceremony being canceled.
Nevertheless, officials have expressed optimism about the upcoming session, emphasizing the importance of upholding parliamentary traditions and fulfilling their legislative duties. Stay tuned for more updates on the 22nd Regular National Assembly.
