The United States played a crucial role in monitoring the rockets and drones launched by Hezbollah at Israel recently. However, the U.S. was not directly involved in the strikes in Lebanon or in intercepting the incoming projectiles, as confirmed by a U.S. defense official.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, clarified: “We provided intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance support to track the attacks by Lebanese Hezbollah but did not engage in any military action as it was deemed unnecessary.”
The U.S. remains vigilant and prepared to assist in defending Israel against threats posed by Iran and its affiliated groups, reaffirming their commitment to monitor the situation closely,” the official further added.
