US Affirms Ironclad Commitment to Israel, Ready to Support

The United States reaffirmed its strong commitment to Israel’s defense after the Israeli military conducted strikes in Lebanon to prevent a possible attack by Hezbollah. Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ryder stated that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin reassured Israel of the U.S.’s unwavering support in the face of threats from Iran and its allies.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant declared a state of emergency following pre-emptive strikes in Lebanon aimed at thwarting an imminent danger to Israeli citizens. The U.S. National Security Council, under President Joe Biden’s direction, affirmed its continuous communication with Israeli officials and commitment to Israel’s right to self-defense.

Hezbollah responded with threats of retaliatory drone and rocket attacks deep within Israeli territory. The situation remains tense, with both sides on high alert amid fears of escalating conflict.
