The French flag was raised at the Eiffel Tower as a tribute to firefighters who replaced the Nazi flag with the tricolor 80 years ago.
The week-long festivities concluded with tributes, including a recognition of “La Nueve,” the Spanish republican forces who first entered Paris on August 24, followed by a night of music and dance at Paris City Hall.
