Haley, who previously ran against Trump for the Republican nomination, highlighted the strength shown during her time with the administration, particularly in relation to China, Russia, and North Korea.
Concerns over a potential loss of U.S. support for Ukraine have grown as Trump’s campaign gains momentum. Haley criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for decisions made during her tenure. She stressed the need for the U.S. to stand strong against authoritarian regimes and called for more international support for Taiwan.
In a meeting with Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te, Haley advocated for Taiwan’s inclusion in the United Nations and urged a united front against China’s claims. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry reported a significant presence of Chinese warplanes and vessels near the island, further emphasizing the tensions in the region.
