Netanyahu: Lebanon strikes ‘not final’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning today, stating that the strikes in Lebanon were just the beginning of Israel’s military campaign against Hezbollah. He emphasized that the attacks were aimed at changing the situation in the north and ensuring the safety of Israeli residents.

Over 100 jets from Israel struck Lebanon, while Hezbollah launched rockets and drones at Israel, resulting in casualties on both sides. The situation escalated following the assassination of a senior Hezbollah commander by Israel last month.

Hezbollah indicated that they were not planning further strikes at the moment, while Israel’s foreign minister expressed a desire to avoid a full-scale war. However, tensions remain high as the conflict could potentially draw in Iran and the United States.

As negotiations continue in Cairo to halt the conflict in Gaza, the UN has called for a ceasefire in Lebanon. The situation remains tense as both sides prepare for potential further escalation.
