Ricochets Damage Building During Military Exercises at Bemowo Piskie
Reports from the Bemowo Piskie shooting range near Orzysz reveal that a building sustained damage due to ricochets from allied gunfire exercises involving Romanian soldiers. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident, which occurred during the night. The General Command of the Polish Armed Forces confirmed this news in a statement released on the X platform.
Investigation Underway
The Military Police are currently investigating the matter, with assurances from the General Command that all damages will be swiftly compensated. Located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Bemowo Piskie is home to the Land Forces Training Center Orzysz, overseeing military drills at the nearby Orzysz training ground.
Bemowo Piskie also serves as a host to a NATO Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) battlegroup, led by the United States and including troops from the UK, Croatia, and Romanian air defense units. This battlegroup collaborates closely with the 15th Mechanized Brigade from Giżycko on a daily basis.
