Recent conflict between IDF and Hezbollah resulted in a preemptive strike by the IDF, destroying thousands of rocket launch platforms in southern Lebanon. The strike aimed to prevent Hezbollah from attacking hundreds of military and strategic targets in northern Israel.
Hezbollah retaliated with drones and around 320 rockets targeting Israeli communities like Acre, Ma’alot, and Safed. However, the IDF’s strike just before 5:00 a.m. neutralized many launchers, preventing a full-scale attack.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant oversaw the operation, leading to around 40 launch sites being targeted. Despite this, Hezbollah proceeded with rocket launches, causing damage and injuries in several Israeli communities.
Hezbollah’s actions were described as the first phase of their response to the killing of their military chief. As a precaution, a “special situation” was declared nationwide, imposing restrictions from Tel Aviv northward.
This ongoing conflict highlights the tense relationship between Israel and Hezbollah, with both sides actively engaging in military operations.
